For 54 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Alabama has continued to provide quality programs, services in addition to providing a safe place for the children of Gadsden, Etowah County and the surrounding area. Currently there are four clubhouse facilities. The Basil Gilchrist Unit is located at 600 Black Creek Road in Gadsden, the Florence Daugette Unit is located at 1416 Park Avenue in East Gadsden, the Ben Sanford Unit located at 309 North Houston Street in Scottsboro and the Gaston Site, 21st Century Community Learning Center located at Gaston School. Hours of operation for the Gilchrist, Daugette and Sanford units are 2:30 PM until 8 PM, Monday through Friday during the school year and 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM during the summer and school holidays. The Gaston Site will close at 6:30 PM. Please check the calendar for closing dates. Club membership is open to any child, 6 to 18 years of age and the yearly membership fee is $10 per year per child. The Gaston Site has a $20 per month tuition during the school year and $30 per month tuition in the summer for the 21st Century Community Learning Center.
